Flying to Grande Prairie
Grande Prairie Airport (YQU) is the main airport, with daily direct flights from Edmonton (YEG) and Calgary (YYC). Airlines like WestJet and Air Canada operate frequent flights to and from these airports, connecting with others all across the globe.
Driving to Grande Prairie
From Edmonton: Grande Prairie is about a 4.5-hour drive northwest via Highway 43. The route is scenic and well-maintained, making for a pleasant road trip.
From Calgary: Driving from Calgary takes about 7.5 hours via Highway 2 and Highway 43.
Getting Around
Grande Prairie is easy to navigate by car, and many hotels are a short drive from popular attractions and venues. Local taxis and rideshare apps are also available, like Uride and YDrive.
Airport Shuttle
The Grande Prairie Airport is only 10 minutes from downtown and most hotels. While there isn’t a dedicated airport shuttle service, taxis and rideshare options are readily available.

This is the May long weekend! There are other events happening in GP this weekend, so it may make sense to book sooner rather than later!

Stay the whole weekend. We know you're super busy and there is no pressure, but we'd love for you to be there the whole weekend and make the most out of your adventure to Grande Prairie. We love this place, and have a BBQ on Friday and Brunch on Sunday you can join at too so you don't have to be on your lonesome :)
Muskoseepi Park: Perfect for a stroll or picnic, with beautiful trails and wildlife sightings. This is right near the wedding venue.
Kleskun Hills: Did you know there are badlands in Northern Alberta? This cool nature area is about 20 minutes out of Grande Prairie, on HWY 43, along with its museum and campground.
Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum: Located just 20 minutes away in Wembley, this museum is a must-visit for dino-enthusiasts!
